摘要：In this talk, I shall focus on some of the recent advances in dispersal related issues in population dynamics. Two of the most interesting mathematical results in this area some twenty years ago - involving carrying capacity and competitions with dispersals in heterogeneous environments - will serve as the motivation of this talk. To understand these two phenomena, especially in terms of how realistic they are, we will consider interactions of intrinsic growth rate, loss rate, carrying capacity and dispersal in heterogeneous environments. Perhaps more importantly, resource dynamics will be taken into consideration; in particular, the correlations between resource input and loss rate, and their effects on populations with varying dispersal rates will be discussed.
